ROS GILMAN
Award-Winning Composer and Artist
Ros is a classically trained, award-winning, British-German composer, music producer, conductor and violinist of Jewish descent, born in Russia. His work includes international productions such as HBO, ARTE and France 5, as well as a number of acclaimed independent films, which have been screened at major international festivals like Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) and Locarno International Film Festival. Ros' portfolio ranges from large orchestral scores to intimate solo strings with electronics and solo piano.
Trained as a film composer, concert violinist and conductor at the University of Music, Vienna and the Royal College of Music, London, Ros holds a Master’s Degree in Composition for Film, a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Composition, a Diploma in Concert Violin and a Diploma in Music Business from the Music Business School, London.
Ros' work has earned him numerous awards and nomination and has enjoyed great support on streaming platforms with over 18 million streams and repeated editorial support from Spotify, Apple Music and Pandora. His music received airplay on major radio stations like BBC, NPO, and NDR, and appeared in national press such as BBC Music Magazine and The JC. Ros regularly appears on podcasts and industry publications as well as a speaker at expert panels (such as MCM London Comic Con).
As a concert violinist, Ros performed on three continents as well as on national TV and national radio (ABC, Kanal 1, Ö1) and as a conductor has collaborated with the Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra, the Prague Metropolitan Orchestra and others.
Based in London, UK, he serves as managing director of music production company and record label Guiro Music.
Ros is a member of BAFTA.
